Sunday’s Stage 1 was a rainy day, we’re talking downpour. So much so that video was out for at least 30 – 40 minutes, which was really pissing me off, having to watch only the Finish Line while listening to Phil and Paul. When the visual finally came through, Mancebo was seen in a break away, which he maintained for a little over100 miles. It was great to see him win the final stage after all of that hard work. A chase group led by team Astana were finally able to reel him in to under 1 ½ minutes, while leaving the peloton way behind.
